About the role
The candidate will have a strong Linux Engineer and DevOps background, including strong bash skills, a good understanding of Unix fundamentals, and python. This seven person team supports all Linux, including AWS and the datacenter. Typical daily activities include writing and maintaining ansible playbooks, bash scripts, and python scripts to automate the Linux OS and AWS resources. Resources are built and deployed using Jenkins groovy and bash pipelines. Seating can be remote as long as they meet the Client location requirements. Desired Technical Skills: • Linux administration: expert or high level (primarily Amazon Linux 2/2022, plus some RedHat). • Ansible: We use ansible heavily to integrate our EC2s with AWS. • Python and bash: ideally high or expert python, and medium or higher bash. NOTE: Live coding exercises will be at the beginning of every interview. • Designs, implements, customizes, maintains and administers operating systems and system software products. • Jenkins: familiarity with any ci/cd environment (and git), Jenkins preferred. • AWS: Required knowledge of EC2/AMI/LB/VPC services, cloud design concepts, plus the basics of IAM and S3. • Python skills ideally include familiarity with the boto3/botocore AWS libraries.
