About the role
Job: DevOps QA Location: 100% Remote – EST working hours Length: 1 year to start, estimated 2-3-year contract, potential to convert full-time during the contract Tech Stack Desired: Experience with 2+ programming languages (ie Java, Python, C++, c#, etc.) Docker and CICD tools (Jenkins or GitLab preferred) IaC (ie terraform, cloud formation, ansible) Cloud Test Automation Testing across multiple test phases: functional, API, UI, integration, regression, acceptance Nice to Have Monitoring tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, or Datadog Xray or TestRail Job Description: Identify and correct deviations, defects, and gaps in our quality assurance process Create test strategies, test cases and test plans to verify the quality of infrastructure and software under test Attend attestation meetings to verify the infrastructure/product scheduled for release has been properly tested Develop training modules to assist application/infrastructure teams in migrating to a quality-centric development/delivery model Prepare list of testing gaps for correction and verify gap corrections were implemented Fully document the results of the test engagement targeting Product Management, Operations, and Product Application Teams Execute manual and automated test cases Fully participate in team Agile ceremonies Monitor, track, solution, and report upon project team defects and root cause data so that preventive measures can be implemented Requirements: Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field involving software development, or equivalent experience Experience with multi-product development teams Experience with test management software (e.g., Microfocus ALM, Xray, TestRail) Experience working with developers to increase test coverage and minimize test deficiencies Experience developing test cases and test plans Experience working with release management processes and helping to help integrate testing into product lifecycles Average understanding of SRE practices/principles Average understanding of Agile Excellent understanding of software risk assessment Excellent ability to draft test cases and create test plans Advanced understanding of Software Quality Assurance practices Advanced understanding of automated Testing Advanced understanding of performance and resiliency testing 4-8 years of automated quality assurance testing 4-8 years of manual quality assurance testing 2-4 years of performance testing experience
