Starts Remote Can sit out of : Charlotte, NC Raleigh, NC NYC, NY Summit, NJ Minneapolis, MN Job Description: Project Description: This resource will be working within the Cloud CTO Group and will impact all of the Dev groups at this Financial CLient (PCF on cloud foundry) – Will have full serve 1700+ apps – Specifically, this phase will be around Kubernetes deployment / enabling build and release processes to leverage Kubernetes. The day-to-day includes: Services will be built around groovy automation boot on top of Java. Candidates will need to have DevOps concepts around Jenkins patterns, as well as be very adept in Kubernetes & PKS service as well (Pivotal Container Service {PKS} is an enterprise Kubernetes platform, architected for rapid results, scaling, and reliability on any infrastructure). Candidates should be highly skilled in Java / JavaScript / Kubernetes / Jenkins – w/in Kubernetes specifically, candidates should be able to build patterns for observability, write services to connect the apps, and automate manual steps for Kubernetes cluster build-outs. Development Methodology: Agile Scrum – 2 week sprints Team Size, Breakdown & Stakeholders: 7-8 scrum teams (8ppl – cloud enablement) Want Manager Wants: * Threading\clustering\memory management knowledge required. * Must be able to describe, define, and implement common design patterns (Façade\factory\observer\adapter\etc). * Enterprise API development experience using a common framework\platform(Apigee\MuleSoft\etc). * Should have at least a passing understanding of 12 factor\cloud native development. * Must have experience with one or more automated unit testing frameworks (Junit\Nunit\TestNGetc) and common automated testing tools (Selenium, Appium, Cucumber, Lambdatest) * Expert level knowledge of maven\gradle and application dependency management. * Self-starter\independent thinking\excellent problem solving skills. * Excellent communication and collaboration skills * Working knowledge and understanding of application security concepts and specific implementation details of software hardening. Specific experience with CheckMarx a plus. * Working knowledge of various database platforms (Mongo\Oracle\Postgres). * Good working knowledge of GIT (UI a must, CLI a plus) * CI\CD Implementation experience using one or more common frameworks\platforms (Jenkins\GitHub Actions\Harness\Spinnaker) * Experience and comfort level in working within self-directed Agile development teams using Lean or LeSS models. * Some experience with process automation in Python\Perl\Bash\etc with extra points for Python. Really like to have * Specific experience in leveraging static code analysis to drive improvements in software quality * Containerization experience with Docker and\or Kubernetes * Terraform experience in both usage and automation of provisioning via API * Data visualization experience via portal delivery and\or business intelligence platforms. * Ability to assimilate new concepts and learn new technologies rapidly – insatiable curiosity (hard to measure but you know it when you see it). * Specific experience in enterprise usage
