ETL Developer

Must Haves: • DataStage for ETL • IBM DB2, SQL Server • Oracle Data Warehouses Job Description Summary • We are currently seeking a talented Senior Data Engineer. • Data Engineers are engaged in all phases of the software development lifecycle which include gathering and analyzing user/business system requirements, application integration, design, development, and support (defect, patch management, and outage resolution). • In addition, Data Engineers are responsible for determining how data is sourced, assembled and conveyed into our multi-channel orchestration platform to target, personalize, and execute cross-channel marketing at scale. • Data engineers participate in design meetings and consult with business clients to refine, test, and debug to achieve business and technology goals. • This is an advanced-level role occupied by those demonstrating in-depth technical and/or business knowledge within their respective areas of specialization. Job Description: • Consults with business and architects to develop and document requirements. • Analyzes and influences technical and system requirements. • Applies technical expertise to plan, analyze, design, build, validate, implement, and support solutions. • Identifies and creates solutions to improve system performance and availability. • Facilitates root cause analysis of system issues to minimize impact and future occurrences. • Analyzes and designs specifications for less experienced team members to execute. Minimum Requirements • Bachelor's degree or 4 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree • 6 or more years of software development, database system development, or systems development experience demonstrating depth of technical understanding within a specific I/T discipline(s)/technology(s) • Large scale relational database, data lake, or data warehouse experience with a strong grasp of SQL, to access, analyze, and assemble data to meet requirements. • Must be a team player and demonstrate ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals. Preferred Requirements • Strong development expertise in DataStage (Version 9.5 or Higher) with experience in processing high volume jobs, UNIX scripting and debugging, Oracle, Control-M • 2+ years of experience with various scripting languages (Python/Powershell/Perl) • Experience using Kafka (with Python, Java, or equivalent) • Java development experience • ETL Administration, performance tuning and troubleshooting. • Experience with Marketing or Campaign technology (e.g. Unica, Adobe Campaign) • Experience executing using agile or scaled agile frameworks
