About the role
ETL Developer Location: Eden Prairie, MN – remote during COVID, would like someone to relocate in 8-10 months Duration: 3+ year contract
Project Scope / Components: Optum acquired Connector Care. They now need to reconcile the data into the connector care platform. Optum has a lot of different tools (SQLServer / Oracle / Flat Files / MySQL / DB2) and some will have easy access, others will not. They will drop them into an Oracle Cloud DB or use a direct connect to get it done. Timeline / Current–State: 3 year timeline (maybe 5 depending on how it goes Team Size & Breakdown: Single Scrum Team (have some SDETs now but don’t have a ton of experience in data quality) – 2 offshore and 2 onshore for ETL
High-Level Individual Duties: • Extract and Transform • Some ingestion • Data Modeling • Other team will do reporting and building pipelines
Must-Haves: • They are much more interested in candidates with a wide breadth of knowledge, but here were some of the tools I keyed in on during the call. o Talend o Data Bricks o Azure Data Factory
Nice-to-Haves: • PL/SQL
