About the role
Role: Java/SRE Developer Duration: Contract Location: 100% remote High-Level Individual Duties: Improve reliability for highly critical apps Identify issue in java app and quickly resolve Knowing how to properly diagnose a java application Lot of work on Kubernetes Helping other teams migrate from on prem with Kubernetes When orders come in, if it is stuck for whatever reason, this person needs to come in diagnose, and address Expected to be on call – rotation – primary and secondary, once every 4 weeks (not set in stone) Needs to be proactive from a reliability standpoint, making improvements before things break Managing incidents and following up on post mortem analysis Kafka streaming – when an order comes in all of that is managed in kafka Must-Haves (Concepts & Tools): Cloud – azure preference Kubernetes – deploying apps on virtual machines strong plus Java – ok with version 8+ (17+ preferred), actual java application development experience and not just support, experience with end-to-end java application development, knowing where they can jump in and dive and in during incidents Go getter enthusiastic attitude, cant be passive Observability tools: Data dog (preferred)/splunk/new relic Automation tools – argo cd preference Kafka streaming – strong strong plus What will win: azure Datadog Automation – argo CD Ecommrce app exp Order management exp -- Thanks & Regards, Pallavi Reddy| Technical Recruiter Thoughtwave Software and Solutions Desk: 630-228-9745 , EXTN:167 Email: pallavi@thoughtwavesoft.com
