About the role
Stack - Core Java - Spring boot - Spring batch - SQL Server - Jenkins - CI/CD (Puppet through github actions) (Nice to have) - JUNIT - Informatica (nice to have) Job Family Summary: Devise technical solutions to drive business outcomes based on an understanding of customers, business processes and technical requirements. Performs Engineering Tasks in a diverse technology environment including: designs, codes, configures, tests, implements, and supports quality software solutions, systems architecture, application security and application infrastructure. Continuously improves and develops internal software and configures packaged applications by assessing business needs to develop solutions that enhance business capabilities. Position Summary: We are seeking a developer to work in a collaborative environment on a variety of different software systems. We support internal facing web applications, batch applications and services for the Retirement Solutions business. We leverage many different tools and technologies including Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Informatica, and SQL Server. Our team focuses on building new products and services to support our Actuarial and Analytics, Investment Operations, and Client Transition Services teams. We also have work supporting Application Managed Services (AMS) and AWS Cloud Migration. We build systems to allow Home Office associates to provide service to our participants and plan sponsors. Responsibilities include but not limited to: · Perform analysis, design, development, testing, integration, and implementation activities. · Work to solve problems innovatively and with a test and learn mindset. · Support modernization efforts such as Application Rationalization and moving to AWS. · Ensure effective and favorable relationships are developed and maintained with key stakeholders. Qualifications: · Java: 3+ years’ professional experience or applicable project/classroom experience · Strong collaborator and communicator · Excellent problem-solving skills · Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Computer Science or related field) Preferred Qualifications: · Experience on an agile scrum team · Java · Spring framework (Spring batch, Spring Boot, Spring Web MVC) · RESTful Web Services · JavaScript, CSS, HTML, BFO (Freemarker) · SQL Server · AWS · Junit · Informatica Physical job requirements: Ability to utilize keyboard, mouse and computer for up to 8 hours per day Ability to work 40 hours per week
