Golang Developers Location: 100% Remote Project/Team Overview: Sit within Bank Tech which spans across Commercial, Retail, Small Biz, Cap Shopping. His team is in CML Tech Bank tech side of the org – spanning across multiple sub orgs His team is over Business Core – the application stores all business customers data, this is a different application than Customer core which stores individual customer data. This project is ongoing and started last year – the next evolution of data. In the past, data has all been stored in multiple locations, but now regardless of where data is generated all data is centralized into one place. Building for the enterprise level- currently only for commercial tech but if it goes well code could go company-wide Team Size & Breakdown: Currently 80% FTE with additional contractors- 23 total engineers. Want to expand 2 more pods (10 total:1 lead and 4 dev each) quickly for increased workload and to continue to expand which is why they are going to contractor route. Technical Overview: Looking for these people to GO from the start – entire code base is written in Go Full stack app but this is backend focused 90%+ backend in Microservice Development Building Go APIs Understanding SQL scripting and data migrations- only about 15% of the time on the data migrations mostly focused on development Developing backend Golang code is the main function Cloud: some parts are using serverless solutions – AWS lambdas, step functions, sqs/sns Could be some provisioning infra work for a few of these folks, small part. React/Typescript 5%, not a must have Developer Requirements: GO 2+ years of development experience- will be building API’s using GO. Strong backend development is required- 90-100% of dev will be backend. Cloud: AWS serverless solutions preferred (Lambda, step functions, sqs, sns) the more serverless experience the less ramp up time Collaborative – strong communication, self Tech Lead Specific Requirements: Above requirements plus: 3-5 years for tech lead- must be at least mid-level or higher Mid-level and fluent in backend development best practices Experience with AWS and specifically AWS serverless solutions -SQS Lambdas and Step Functions Work with product owners and Lee to tease out high level feature requests. Identifying acceptance criteria gaps, iron out requirements, etc.
