About the role
POSITION : Hadoop Administrator LOCATION: New York City, NY Job Description: Review tool use cases & Perform POC/POTs Design & develop tool architecture Aligning tools with enterprise architecture standards Collaborate with Vendor for installation & configuration of the tool Enhance existing tools with new features Tool integration with Hadoop (MapR, HWX & CDP ) clusters, Splunk & other products Document Installation, configuration, procedures & standards for the tools and handing over to Prod support teams Opening the tool to application teams and participate in tool application releases. Must Haves: 7+ years of experience working within the data field in DevOps or admin capacity Experience with tool integration with Hadoop (MapR, HWX & CDP ) clusters, Splunk & other products Document Installation, configuration, procedures & standards for the tools Strong Communication skills Able to coordinate with the prod support team on installs and issues
