Role: IBM Mainframe Developer
Duration: 3 Months Location: 100% Remote in MST or PST
Required Skills : Cobol, CICS, JCL, DB2, VSAM, Rexx, IBM IDz. Assembler is a plus
Job Description : Senior IBM Mainframe Developers
Responsibilities
Architect, analyze, develop, enhance and maintain banking company’s core software applications and information systems using COBOL, IBM Assembler Language, Java, JCL, and REXX. Review system capabilities and department needs. Design, document, and code program logic using IDz, SlickEdit, TSO/ISPF, and IBM ADFz Mainframe toolset. Maintain database and data communication system using Spufi, TOAD and SQL Developer. Prepare program test data, analyze test results, and specify data control procedures using DEBUG, Fault Analyzer, Application Performance Analyzer (APA), ADDI and MS Office toolset. Provide input on strategic IT direction. Create specifications for out-sourced development and project management using ServiceNow. Ensure compliance, integration, back-up and recovery procedures are included. Train junior team members.
Qualifications Requires
Masters in CS/Equiv plus at least 3 years of experience in job offered, or Bachelor’s Degree in CS/Equiv, plus at least 5 years of progressive software development experience (including 3 years in job offered), and proficiency with COBOL, IBM Assembler; Java, JCL, REXX, SQL, zOS DB2, VM Operating Systems, ADFz toolset, TSO/ISPF, ServiceNOW, XEDIT, CICS, Slickedit, and GDG. -- -- --- ---- Thanks & Regards, Ujwala Pinninti Thoughtwave Software and Solutions 314 N.
