Java Developer

Must have: Java, REST API, SQL, some Jira experience and good communication.

Nice to have: Groovy

Day to Day Responsibilities:

Will be sole developer on this team working with the administrators and others. Can get help from other dev teams as needed but looking for someone willing to take product/project ownership on their own Task #1: Managing existing Atlassian/JIRA custom plug-in build by Adaptis written in Groovy Backlog of corrections/bugs to fix and owning that plug-in Have a dev from another team helping right now in the interim and wanting to give that person back to their main project so need coverage here If someone has JAVA knowledge and willing to learn or has touched any groovy will be okay Task #2 (primary): Build a web-based product that complements JIRA where people can see issues, interact with tickets, add attachments, etc. as non-JIRA user and business side without having to have a JIRA data license Will be fully managing the build, design and development of a new web application (full-stack development along with some basic design work) Recently migrated to JIRA data center and only have 5,000 data user licenses so need to find a work-around to get users access Have started initial concept but essentially this developer will be able to design the features, structure, and full life-cycle of this application and design & develop it w/ input from team

Other secondary tasks (as time allows): Manage workflows in automation code (Groovy as well) Help w/ JIRA support tickets – getting access etc.
