About the role
Role:Java Developer Location:100% REMOTE W2/C2C Duration:6months Contract 2 Hire Responsibilities · Lead Systems Developer IT team to analyze, define, and document requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware, operating system environment, interfaces with other systems, internal and external checks and controls, and outputs · Develop and apply theories and methods to solve complex technological problems; code or modify, test, and debug programs of difficult complexity · Manage work direction, lead and influence, and provide feedback to others within team · Review code & design quality · Participate in staffing plans to identify subject matter experts (SMEs) and provide feedback for staff performance reviews · Own application(s) within area, including proactive monitoring and communication of overall health and future sustainability · Other duties as assigned Skills Desired · This is not front end focused – very back end heavy! "lots of API calls to a database of some kind" · Strong Java experience is a must have · Big Data nice to have (2nd skill preferred) – not specific but team is going Mongo · Any cloud experience is a nice to have – also not specific · PBM helpful but not required · The soft skills will be super important here – ability to mentor others on the team but also be in discussions with architects, POs, complete design work, etc…..
