Role- Java Engineer Duration- 6 months Location- 100% Remote Project: Building out a platform for sending and tracking letters. Right now the primary focus is for providers, but would like the platform to be as agnostic as possible for various teams to be able to send out letters to anyone Responsibilities: Primarily backend focused – building out REST services with Java Will support serverless functions running on Azure & Typescript Work within a DevOps environment – this resource with be responsible for their code from start to finish (unit testing, support, etc.) Must Haves: 4+ years of experience – don’t want to teach someone to code, but willing to teach some of the more advanced programming concepts Java – should be able to build REST Services Javascript/Typescript – this role will be primarily backend, but should have experience here Cloud experience – preference on Azure, open to others. Should have overall experience running an application in the cloud. Need core concepts Experience in a DevOps environment Personality fit – will be just as important as the technical skills. Looking for someone who cares about digging into the problem to understand the big picture + really solid communication. Nice to Have: Azure App Services & Azure Functions React  Interview Process: Technical Assessment 90 minute 1 and done with manager Update to this req. Serverless experience is NOT a hard requirement, please send candidates that just have cloud experience.
