Project/Position: Our client is rapidly expanding and looking to make several advancements to their cloud, mobile, and web platforms. The company has an immediate need for a Java Developer. This role will be predominantly building out a new web applications and warehouse distribution system for their international operations sector. This project will involve new code development using the latest version of Java working on an Agile development team. The candidate should have knowledge of Java/Spring, cloud tools, databases, and other project areas. The team is looking for someone who is collaborative and able to take initiative starting on new projects while working with limited oversight or management in collaboration with a team. Responsibilities

Improve stability and consistency of existing and new Java code developing with newer versions of Java 8 and Java 11 Participate in development, design, and learning Build out new web applications and warehouse systems Develop and create advanced database functions (queries and procedures) using SQL Innovate & contribute to our technical roadmap of ongoing improvements, enhancements and updates Collaborating in our codebase to produce clean, elegant, scalable web applications Participate in periodic code reviews with the development team Utilize Kafka messaging systems Collaborate with Senior developers and seek out solutions Create microservices for various applications Create CI/CD pipelines Support international projects Work with a wide-array of newer technologies: Java, Spring, Kafka, GCP, SQL, and more

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in an Engineering or Science field, or related work experience Ability to communicate effectively to multiple teams Experience with Java and Spring Experience with GCP/AWS Cloud tools Experience with a SQL database Software Engineering knowledge and understanding of common terminology Ability to work in a remote setting
