About the role
Role:Java/MongoDB Engineer
Location:Remote Duration:12 Months
Must Haves: Java and MongoDB
Required kills: Bachelor's, Master's, or Equivalent Experience; Technical degree or relevant experience is applicable. Relevant experience includes: Experienced in software development in Java or equivalent languages. Experienced in building and maintaining more than one data pipeline/data product in production environments (bug fixing, troubleshooting, monitoring, etc.). You are strong in a couple of programming languages relevant to data (e.g. Java, Spark, Python). You can identify strengths and weaknesses among languages for particular use cases. You can apply organizational technology patterns effectively in projects and make recommendations on alternate options. You have hands-on experience working with large volumes of data including different patterns of data ingestion, processing (batch & real-time), movement, storage and access (for both internal and external to BU) and ability to make independent decisions within scope of project. You have a good understanding of data structures and algorithms. You have hands-on experience working with at least 1 cloud technology and its offerings within the data specialization. You understand how projects/teams interact with other teams. You understand how to design moderately complex systems.
