Java/Scala Engineers

Job Description : Principal Engineer responsive, resilient and scalable reactive architecture, microservices and cloud based payment platform. You will be a member of the product development team, working on building exciting new products and features for the commercial/business card management space, that integrates with industry leading processors and banks. As part of the SAAS engineering team, you'll work in a dynamic, open environment, employing the latest techniques and best practices in back-end engineering, and utilizing the best in class tools and frameworks building a highly distributed and scalable platform. How you will make an impact ● As a senior developer, you will develop, support, maintain, and implement multiple Reactive Architecture and Domain Driven Design based microservices and APIs. ● Take charge end-to-end - understand requirements, technical design, implement, test and deploy products/features. ● Present and defend architectural, design, and technical choices to internal and external audiences. ● Own your microservices - low latency, high-throughput, fault tolerant, backward compatible, upkeep, hygiene and high-quality. ● Write lean code and documentation - express through UML, comments, git commit comments and structured code. ● Be motivated and enthusiastic, be ready to learn and experiment always. ● Iterate - Check-in everyday, break large implementations into small deployment-ready-components. ● Be vocal: set and manage expectations, communicate across functions and roles, drive collective improvements in technology and process areas. ● Coach and guide junior engineers. What you need to succeed ● 7+ years’ experience in building highly scalable, high performance, and highly available back-end applications. ● At least 2 years experience building out scalable and robust back-end systems in Scala/Akka.
