Role / Title: C++ Engineer Location: Memphis, TN-100% remote Duration:6 Month contract contract to hire Skillset (top 3-5): · Official JD: C++, React Js. Over the past three years the company has made a significant investment in technology supporting our Commercial business. We have built mobile apps and rolled-out mobile devices for our delivery drivers, given our Commercial Sales Managers new web applications and tools to better serve our customers, and expanded the functionality of our customer facing website. Responsibilities: • Ensure that sites and systems run smoothly, optimally, efficiently, and reliably. • Collaborate with Development teams to create new or continuously improve products, including planning, testing, staging and deployment • Develop new features, scaling, automation and self-healing processes for sites and systems • Identify and Implement code/configuration changes to improve performance and reliability as necessary • Implement and improve upon monitoring systems to ensure quick alerting of any problems in the eco-system • Manage security of production infrastructure and applications in compliance with PCI & PII requirements • Advocate for top-notch design standards and lead process improvements in collaboration with architects and Application Engineers • Collaborate and consult with the Engineering team to help automate the end-to-end Operations of the applications/systems • Delegate work to engineers and provide coaching/mentorship • Accurate work planning and execution; accurate project and time tracking Requirements: • Ability to think logically and learn new and diverse vintage technologies • Requires 4-7 years of development experience in the role of a Software Engineer or similar utilizing C and/or C++ • A genuine curiosity for computers/software and Innovation • Experience in debugging complex applications • Experience with scripting (Shell, Python etc.) and good understanding of Unix/Linux • Ability to quickly troubleshoot critical production issues spanning applications/infrastructure and tune applications • Hands on experience using version control tools such as Git or similar • Strong ability to collaborate and openly communicate cross-functionally, particularly with Operations teams and microservices teams. • Ability to do code-reviews and evaluate constructively the coding of others. • Strong work ethic, high sense of urgency, driven, self-motivated, highly accountable with initiative and passion Preferred Experience: • ReactJS or comparable JavaScript framework such as Angular • Experience in an Agile environment • Release Automation Engineering experience working with tools such as Jenkins, Jira, Puppet • Experience in web application development and implementing high level designs for IT solutions • Familiarity or experience in frontend and backend application development and troubleshooting • Strong Unix developer who is open to doing production application performance tuning and troubleshooting • Experience with monitoring tools (Dynatrace, Splunk, ELK, APM, etc.) • Experience with or an understanding of retail systems • Verbal Spanish Language skills are a plus • Java and Object Oriented skills are a plus Education Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Computer Engineering, or experience equivalent Thanks & Regards, P.
