Lead BI Developer

Role- Lead BI Developer Duration- 6 Months Location- Melbourne, FL (onsite 5x a week) Description: Project Details – Size, Scale, Scope? How does candidate fit into this? Lead Power BI Dev has moved to part-time and on contract. Need a data guru. They have 12 agile teams that are cross functional and manage their databases and reporting but need someone to govern the data platform from above. Will lead a kanban team. Currently they have approximately 100 databases that test, a data store, a data warehouse for reporting, and a Data lake for 3rd party data (make calls to risk company that provided property risk, attributes of property). When reaching out to gather attributes on a property, those calls cost money so they store that data as much as possible for analytics so they don’t have to repeat unnecessary calls. Day to Day Responsibilities/typical day look like: Wil lead team and manage Kanban board. Will self-manage and execute appropriately Govern data platform across the organization Review and make sure databases are running optimally (tables that are similarly built, indexes created that need to be reviewed, stored procedures, etc.) Power BI is embedded and all teams have access to their reports. Will provide best practices. Mentoring, architectural understanding, share ideas, and concepts What are the top 3 MUST HAVE technologies or Required experience with the technologies the position? 1. SQL Server 2. Azure exp. 3. MS best practices when it comes to databases 4. Power BI 5. Leadership skills has led a small team before. Delivering on time and planning.
