Lead snowflake data engineer

Position Summary: Reporting to the Director of Data Strategy, this role is responsible for the deployment and user engagement of an Enterprise Analytics Platform in support of data-driven decision-making that leads to improved organizational performance, quality, outcomes, and cost. • Serves as a technical expert for data, analytics, and data visualization across the organization. • Performs and oversees analysis and recommends appropriate analytic, statistic, and data visualization methods, resources, and tools. • Provides support for data governance and the coordination and alignment of analytics activities supporting the strategic direction of the organization to improve data-driven decision making. • Promote analytic usage and skills among management and employees through training and mentoring, of appropriate analytics tools. • Leads the mission to create one source of the truth by injecting more certified, trustworthy, and structured data into the Enterprise Analytics Platform. • Run projects to extend foundational Analytic offerings enabling business to make more enterprise decisions. • Work with Business teams to development analytic metrics that establish a consistent, coherent approach to data throughout the organization. • Drives analytics • Runs projects to continually improvements the Data and Analytic CoE. • Leads enterprise Data Analyst forums • Be a champion for Analytic capabilities Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications: • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Data Analytics or Business with a minimum of 10 years related experience is required, a Master’s is a plus • Demonstrated strength in SQL, data modeling, and data warehousing • Knowledge of data platforms and functions supporting Analytics • Great numerical and analytical skills • Extensive Experience with Big Data Technologies (Hadoop, Hive, HBase, Pig, Spark, Snowflake, Dataiku, etc.) • Knowledge of Data Analytics used to provide business insight and bring value to our business partners is required. • Knowledge of data platforms and functions supporting Analytics • Ability to deliver innovative ideas and suggestions to contribute to the direction for Data Analytics within the Organization. • Experience with Project Management methodologies
