About the role
Position: Linux Admin Location: Remote till Covid Duration: Long term contract Job Responsibilities: Mandatory skills: Linux Basics Storage VMware Linux Patching Server Performance Clusters Responsibilities A desire to work 24x7 in a collaborative, intellectually curious environment Ability to own and troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues working collaboratively with all technology functions At least 8 years of hands on experience in Unix/Linux environment Experience in managing at least 5000+ Linux/Unix server estate Good knowledge in networking fundamentals, load balancing, security, clustering Expertise in OS performance tuning Expertise in scripting such as shell, Python Experience in patching large Unix/Linux estates Experience in Systems & Log Monitoring tools such as Nagios, Splunk, Xymon Expertise in automation and config management tools like ansible, puppet, chef, RH satellite Experience with Virtualization and cloud technologies, including containerization, Docker, and Kubernetes Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate complex technology solutions to senior leadership, customers, gain alignment, and drive progress.
