Role:Linux Engineer

Location: onsite in Baltimore, MD (Linthicum, MD to be exact) Length: 12+ months, contract to hire

Must Haves: Security Clearance: Must have an active Secret or Top Secret clearance with SAP eligibility. Last PR must be within the past 5 years. Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience, or 9+ years of relevant work experience without a degree. Degree should be in Software Engineering, Computer Sciences, Communication, MIS, or a related field. Certifications: Must be DOD 8570 IAT Compliant with certifications like Security+, CCNA Security, GSEC, CASP, CISA, CISSP, or GCIH. Also, must have or be willing to obtain RHCSA, RHCE, RHCA, or RHCVA within 6 months. Linux Experience: At least 5 years of experience with Linux, including setting up physical servers and domain controllers with RHEL v6, 7, or 8. Active Directory: Experience integrating with Active Directory and managing GPOs. Monitoring Tools: Proficient with tools like ELK or Solarwinds. Compliance Tools: Experience with ACAS, Nessus, or SCAP. Server Management: Hands-on experience with setting up and maintaining Linux servers, including patching and upgrades. Virtualization: Experience with VMware. Windows Knowledge: Basic understanding of Microsoft Windows server and desktop. Security Frameworks: Knowledge of RMF or DIACAP and achieving ATO in a DoD environment. SCIF Experience: Recent experience working in a SCIF environment. DISA STIGs: Experience with DISA STIGs.
