About the role
Role: Azure Cloud/Linux Engineer
Location: Fully Remote Duration: 12+ month contract with good potential to extend up to 3 years
Top Must Haves:
Azure (needs to be strong here, don’t want AWS heavy people) Heavy Linux Bash/Powershell Ansible
JD:
Ansible Automation. Bash scripting. Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Oracle) Administration. Linux HBA, ISCSI. Linux Multipathing Linux Volume Groups/ LVM’s Establish Redhat Server Patch Management process per best practice. Satellite, Spacewalk, or Pulp. Core Linux Services - Sendmail, Postfix , Samba, NFS, LDAP, DHCP, SSH. Linux Iptables / Firewalld. Linux Security Hardening. Linux Windows AD Integration, SSSD, Kerberos and 2FA. Linux Kernel Tuning for servers and databases. Experience with GIT repositories. Maintain and secure the Oracle financial environment. Templates for Redhat/CentOS Linux for VMWare ESX platform. Experience with monitoring/performance/reporting tools to manage Linux infrastructure. Experience with ESXi vsphere server Administration. SFTP Environment – support and maintain. Network Interface Bonding on physical Linux servers. HP/Dell Physical hardware, ILOM & idrac. Switch configuration – knowledge of vlans, vlan tagging. Knowledge of Cisco device protocol, getting switch port data for Linux VM’s or physical machines. Understanding of Windows DNS and Active Directory Management. Powershell. NAS and SAN storage. Apache, Tomcat, Ngnix, Jira, Confluence, Web services. Experience with backup technologies. Application failover automation. Azure blob storage. Oracle RAC/ODA, support pre-req installs and troubleshooting.
