About the role
Position: Linux Engineer Location: Hybrid 2 days/week onsite in North Brunswick NJ, Dallas, Phoenix, Charlotte, Minneapolis NO 100% REMOTE Candidates Duration: 24-month contract ONLY ON W2 Must Haves o 5+ years of IT experience o Strong understanding of Linux platforms o Any scripting language for Automation (perl, shel, bash, python) o Agile working environment (understanding of devops tools) o Working in an Oracle environment o Python or Ansible for automation (ie. scanning the platform for issues) Candidate will be working on engineering, design, build and support of High-Performance Computing systems and distributed computing data grids. Candidate will work with diverse business functions and development team across multiple line of businesses. Candidate will get opportunity to understand functioning of current trading and risk systems and get involved in building and supporting caching/computing platform for these systems. Candidate will have to understand systems and application code to troubleshoot and provide guidance to app dev teams. 5+ years of Linux/Windows scripting and automation experience 2+ years of relational database experience 5+ years of Red Hat Linux or UNIX or Windows experience 5+ years of application production support experience 5+ years of middleware product support experience Ability to interact with all levels of an organization, including management Strong team or technical leadership experience Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Demonstrable experience with process automation using Linux or Windows scripting.
