Linux/unix Engineer

Job Title: Linux/Unix Engineer Location: Remote then Jersey city,NJ Must Have: Unix Unix Shell scripting PERL OOP concepts Writing test cases SSH (Secure Shell protocol) Nice to have: Front end (javascript, HTML, Apache) Overall project / scope: There is a developer on this project, this individual will be working with them to develop NEW UNIX code as well as tweaking existing code. CTI – application scans all of the Linux/Unix servers (120,000 servers) in the Bank Understand OOP concepts; Polymorphism, templates, interfaces, inheritance and classes Ability to discuss design patterns; should be prepared with a list and ready to explain Should have experience writing tests, TAP (test anything Protocol) is ideal for Perl, experience using other techniques is okay a willingness to write tests because they understand the importance can demonstrate writing for test; its concepts & design patterns often support better testing Knows POD (Plain Old Documentation)or at least of it and willing to write POD before coding.
