Role: Mac Systems Engineer, Duration: 6 month contract Location: Palo Alto, CA, Skillset: • Looking for a generalist with apple experience • Mobile device mgmt, app deployments, ipad / epic interfaces • Mobile communication applications • Major initiative is patient room ecosystem SR SYSTEMS ENGINEER A Brief Overview: The Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for the design, management, and ongoing support of healthcare technologies and end user mobile systems. This role will define and implement standardized processes for new technologies in a clinical setting with an emphasis on mobile systems and application support across the Stanford Health Care (SHC) clinical and business environment and serve as a source of thought leadership regarding healthcare technologies and mobile systems and technology across the SHC environment. This position supports SHC in this capacity as it relates to mobile devices, applications, and healthcare technologies. What you will do ? Lead the resolution of incidents related to mobile devices and applications in the SHC environment, serving as a source of level 3 engineering support and system administrator related to mobile devices, applications, client security and other clinical technologies as needed including RTLS, clinical communications (Voalte) and web conferencing (Zoom) for telehealth. ? Lead the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of standardized processes around mobile workflows, system management and client security. ? Recommend technologies or process with potential to enhance the mobile endpoint engineering environment, and lead requirement gathering, identification of emerging technologies, and business case development. ? Document and implement security standards and industry best practices for end user device security, identify client security risks and policy violations and take steps to mitigate, and work with information security and mobile engineering teams to resolve incidents related to endpoint security products across the environment. ? Engineering for the mobile application intake process including process improvement and technical documentation and app evaluation and beta testing ? Engineering for patient room technologies (telehealth, digital door signage, TV and entertainment systems, iPad, etc.) ? Engineering for various new technologies that requires setup, configuration and executive demonstrations ? System administration of a variety of applications such as web conferencing (Zoom), clinical communications (Voalte/Connexall), etc. as well as reporting metrics (PostgreSQL and Tableau) as needed Education Qualifications ? Preferred Bachelor's degree in a work-related field/discipline from an accredited college or university or equivalent professional experience. Experience Qualifications ? Five (5) or more years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience (healthcare preferred). Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: ? Experience with mobile application, device deployment, and management i.e. iPhones, iPads, Intune, Jamf, etc. ? Clinical communication platform experience i.e. Voalte or similar ? Telehealth platform experience i.e. Zoom, VidyoConnect, etc. ? Knowledge and experience with facilities/construction and related standards (OSHPD) ? Ability to effectively interact with all internal and external stakeholders involved in network, infrastructure and mobile systems support, as well as customers at all levels in the organization (especially clinical stakeholders). ? Strong task and time management skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, and strong technical expertise on all aspects of end user systems.
