Required Skills : Experience supporting Mainframe/legacy systems C++ OR Master Craft DB2 OR Easytrieve SQL Control M Job Description : Title: Mainframe - Software Developer & Integrator Location: San Antonio, TX Type: 12-month contract Chance to Extend: Yes Remote Option: Yes, until virus situation clears Openings: 3 Start Data: ASAP IV Process: 1 and done video interview Shift: M-F 8-5 Eligible to enroll in Apex benefits during contract period Hours worked = hours paid during contract period Day-to-Day Responsibilities: • Will serve as a software developer for one or two teams comprised of domestic and offshore developers. • Needs to be able to work with business resources to understand requirements and perform full lifecycle of software development and maintenance: analysis, design, coding, testing, implementation to production. • Prepared in accordance with the Software Product Engineering Life Cycle document • Prepared in accordance with the SAFE Agile practices • Prepared and completed in accordance with the IT Software Process Library to include: o design artifacts that are graphic and concise, top down partitioned and non-redundant shall include: o graphic representation of the system o design elements broken down into lower levels of detail o details required to document the functions of the system • Software Code Tasks include: o Artifacts that is integral to the software product to include source, binary, executable or equivalents such as scripts or command files. Must have experience: • Mainframe skills: DB2, Easytrieve, JCL (4+ years) • Analysis, design, coding and testing (4+ years) • Good oral and written communication skills (will serve as a Tech Lead and need to coordinate with offshore teams). • Experience working with agile practices (1 year) • SQL • C++ • Control M Nice to have experience: • Core Java • J2EE • TDD • REST API development Notes : Selling points for candidate : Project Verification Info : Will be developing and supporting legacy applications and systems in the Core Auto group within the Property and Casualty department
