About the role
Role:Mainframe Developer
Location:Remote Allowed – preference is for someone to come onsite in Charlotte, NC or Raleigh, NC or Atlanta, GA on hybrid Duration:12+ Months
Must Haves: RACF knowledge -Z-Secure knowledge -Mainframe systems support and/or infrastructure experience. -Ability to program command Mainframe batch and reporting language (such as: JCL, CARLA, REXX, CLIST, ISPF, SAS) -Direct RACF experience including demonstrated skills with RACF architecture, z/OS system and security knowledge, JCL, and batch processing, and RACF security controls.
Role Responsibilities
(what they will be doing) Participate in efforts related to designing, planning, enhancing, and testing all cybersecurity technologies used throughout the enterprise including base-lining current systems, trend analysis, and capacity planning as required for future systems requirements and new technologies. Participate in the analysis of information to determine, recommend, and plan the use of new technologies, or modifications to existing equipment and systems that will provide capability for proposed project or workload, efficient operation, and effective use of allotted resources. Participate in the implementation of new information security technologies or integration of existing technologies including initial configuration, installation, change management, and operational handoff. Take a new perspective on existing solutions to solve complex problems and exercise judgment based on the analysis (e.g. modeling, testing, etc.) from multiple sources of information. Provide technical support of information security technologies, providing problem analysis and resolution in a timely manner and explain and interpret complex, difficult, or sensitive information. Mainframe security support, maintenance, and monitoring of z/OS systems including RACF, zSecure, RRSF, and critical company applications. Design, create, delete, modify, and verify RACF security groups, user accounts, resource/data set profiles, certificates, keyrings, and permissions using zSecure and native RACF commands.
