Job Title: Middleware Engineer\ Location: Remote Required Skills Basic Qualifications- Solace experience is a MUST HAVE. This does not need to be a Solace migration experience, but open to someone having system admin or engineer experience with patching or automation. - Unix administration - Ansible Additional Skills- IBM MQ - Solace migration Job Description Senior Middleware Engineer Project Overview: Contractor will be supporting overall BAU needs and endeavors. Under the direction of a team leader, the contractor will be Coding, testing, and debugging application programs from functional specifications. These individuals will work from program specifications or prototypes. Contractor’s Role: Northern Trust Enterprise Middleware Service team is looking for a senior messaging system engineer to help build out, maintain, and troubleshoot the bank’s rapidly expanding IBM MQ and Solace messaging infrastructure. The contractor will be part of a talented team of engineers that demonstrate superb technical competency, delivering mission critical infrastructure and ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance and security. Experience Level: Senior Qualifications: BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject Minimum of 6 to 10 years of IBM MQ and Solace administration experience • 5+ years of experience with messaging API developer support ( JMS, dotNet etc.) • 5+ years of architecting, designing and administration of IBM MQ including Pub/Sub • 3+ years of architecting, designing and administration of Solace • 5+ years of scripting for deployment and configuration • 5+ years troubleshooting unexpected IBM MQ and Solace problems • 3+ years of experience with DevOps and automation required Nice to Haves: • Prior Java programming skill is a plus • Knowledge of Kafka messaging system is a plus • Solace Certification Tasks & Responsibilities • Manage all environments (Development, Testing and Production) of IBM MQ/solace • Install, configure and provide support for functional and performance testing of additional features of modern messaging system. • Work with application developers in POCs to design solutions with novel and advanced product features • Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability by monitoring and testing application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes • Design and maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies • Design of expansion of current cluster and integration of existing cluster with cloud • Architect the roadmap for messaging systems in the bank • Provide 3rd level support and act as a technical leader of offshore support team • Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution Thanks&Regards, Kiran Tumuluri IT-Recruiter Staffing | Thought wave Software and Solutions Limited 6308125139kiran@thoughtwavesoft.com www.thoughtwavesoft.com 314 N.
