Middleware MQ Admin

Position :Middleware MQ admin Location : 100% remote Duration : 6 months Contract Must Have : AWS and Automation. Hands on experience with IBM MQ AIX and UNIX skills Shell scripting, ansible and python(optional) Familiarity with Agile framework • The plan is to hire a contingent worker resource to support the following CoLo related activities: o Participate in Design discussions with application teams and NIT Design resources o Create automation to install and configure and for other tasks as appropriate ( BRT, etc) o Install and configure Messaging and MQ products for various FRFS applications ( Wholesale, Retail) o Support application migration activities from on prem to COLO servers o Support testing efforts to validate each environment o Troubleshoot issues arising from migration activities o Provide consultation to application development teams regarding COLO set up Resource Justification Details: • The justification is to provide a dedicated resource able to support design, prebuild, Factory build, and post-Factory build activities needed to migrate FRFS Retail and Wholesale Messaging workloads into the 5 new CIZ environments. • Subject matter expertise in IBM Middleware products like MQ • Installation, administration and configuration of MQ 9.3x • Experience with MQ clustering • Experience in migration solutions related to middleware • Hands on experience in Ansible and OS shell scripts including automation tools is a plus • Must be familiar with Agile methodologies and able to work in an Agile manner

Responsibilities

• Serve as subject matter expert on IBM MQ, includes technical assistance to application developers on Middleware related problems • Understand technology vision and strategic direction of business needs • Production support 24/7 for a week, at least once a month • Assess and make recommendations of best-practice solutions and/or new middleware and web technologies that will enhance the capabilities of the existing infrastructure. • Participate product roadmaps in alignment with other middleware/cloud products and business roadmaps • Participate in designing integrated solutions with design patterns, blueprints, guidelines, and standard methodologies for products • Assist in developing architecture and design conceptual solutions by incorporating cloud native and 3rd party vendor products • Participate in research and perform POCs (proofs of concept) with emerging technologies and adopt industry best practices, in the middleware space, for cloud migration and hybrid solutions • Successfully troubleshoot production issues application developers can't resolve; may include writing build and deployment scripts • Support both rehydration and HA along with emerging processes and technologies • Assist the development of validation and certification processes through automation tools • Monitoring - monitor middleware performance and availability • Demonstrate collaboration on projects and initiatives as a team member
