About the role
Role: Mirth Developer/Interface Developer
Location: 100% remote Duration: 6 months
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and adaptable NextGen Mirth Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining integrations using the Mirth Connect platform, ensuring seamless data exchange and interoperability within our healthcare systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and implement real-time solutions using HL7-based interfaces and other data exchange standards. Create automated data workflow exchanges using HL7, FHIR, RESTful Services, and JSON formatted data with external systems and applications. Collaborate with architecture teams to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture direction. Participate in and/or lead code reviews to ensure high-quality code and adherence to best practices. Troubleshoot and resolve complex integration issues, providing systematic problem identification, analysis, and resolution. Translate business requirements and/or functional specifications into technical solutions. Maintain and enhance existing Mirth Connect interfaces and develop new ones as needed. Provide technical support and guidance to other team members and stakeholders.
Job Experience Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in developing and maintaining integrations using Mirth Connect. Strong knowledge of HL7, FHIR, JSON, and other healthcare data exchange standards. Experience in designing and architecting Health Information Exchange (HIE) and customer-facing applications. Proficiency in RESTful Services and cross-platform solutions design. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and reduce complex problems into manageable components. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in an integrated team environment. Experience with agile development methodologies is a plus. Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the healthcare industry, particularly with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. Knowledge of cloud-based integration solutions and services. Familiarity with other integration platforms and tools.
