About the role
Job Title: Mobile developer Location: Remote - Prefers iOS over Android. They are using React Native. Since they are working on cross platform they need to know either iOS or Android. They’re truly looking for a React Native mobile developer with iOS experience. - Same as front end – need to have an understanding of Node. Consuming APIs and times where they are creating APIs. - Functional programming on the front end. It’s not object oriented design but they’ll take someone with OOD experience. - UX design and wireframing is helpful but they have an outsource company for this. Some experience could be a huge place. This applies to both mobile and UI. Don’t let this block out anyone but candidate will take preference over others. Interested individuals can apply along with resume to bnovak@apexsystems.com You will join a team of developers and software engineers as the Senior Mobile Engineer leading all Mobile Development activities and driving decisions around the Mobile development. How you will do it • Work with internal (e.g., sales, supports, etc.) and external clients in defining new products in addition to supporting existing products. • Scope and document technical work based on business requirements. • Design, implement and create loosely-coupled, robust and highly scalable applications. • Prototype applications to evaluate new technologies as appropriate. • Enhance the performance of existing applications, and services. • Develop code that is platform agnostic; and where applicable, browser agnostic. • Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure that all requirements are met. • Enhance the performance of existing applications, and services. • Work with a large team of engineers in a cross-functional environment implementing high-quality products. • Provide status of their efforts on a daily (morning Scrum) and weekly (Team Huddle) basis. What we look for Required • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or relatable field. • Equivalent degree and work experience will be considered. • Experience with software engineering experience with a solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC). • Strong computer science fundamentals, software architecture and problem solving skills. • Proficient in native Android (Java) and/or iOS (Swift/Obj-C) development. Experience with JavaScript (in particular Node.js, socket.io), C/C++, Linux, and embedded systems. • Experience building RESTful APIs. • Experience with source code version control, in particular GIT • Capable of working individually, or with a large team comprised of multiple disciplines. • Strong written and verbal communications. • Facilitate team-building activities with team. • Ability to influence, train, and mentor junior engineers Preferred • Master’s Degree • Working knowledge of rapid development concepts with Scrum/Agile is a plus.
