Title : Network Architect Location: Redmond, WA Duration: 16 Months Project: Vanguard Services Job Description: TOP 5 SKILLS: iDirect Satellite Network Planning and Design Satellite Link Budget design and analysis IP Network Planning and Design Satellite Networks Capacity Planning Product Development of Satellite Systems • Manage Client Vanguard Satellite and Cellular infrastructure • Support iDirect & Comtech network planning, implementation, and optimization • Provide satellite & IP network support for monitoring and troubleshooting customer networks • Support satellite network modifications and upgrades • Configure satellite network hubs, modems, servers, firewalls, and routers • Provide on-call technical support to end users and technicians • Support business development and RFP activity with RF & Satellite Network capacity calculations • Work with teleports and operators to maintain and grow satellite network • 3-5 Years’ Experience with iDirect satellite networking platform required • Knowledge and hands on experience of iDirect technology, servers, protocol processors, line cards, modems, and Evolution software • Knowledge and hands on experience with routers, switches, and firewalls • Knowledge and experience with IP networks using BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VRFs, RIP, EIGRP, Netflow, VoIP, SSH, and SNMP. • Cisco Certifications a plus (CCENT, CCT, CCNA) • Experience with Comtech EF Data Satellite equipment a plus
