Network Engineer

Role: Network Engineer (VPN)

Duration: 1 Year+ Contract Location: 100% Remote (US Based Only)

Primary Responsibilities Include: • Provide operational support for remote access VPN on multiple F5 platforms across Deloitte’s global and Cloud infrastructure. • 24x7 VPN device monitoring, operation and management. • First responder to monitored alerts, incidents and issues. • Monitoring, and troubleshooting of F5 BIG-IP LTMs and APM modules. • Perform VPN policy changes, analysis and clean-up as requested by firms. • Provide visibility and insight to assist customers with Remote Access VPN activity and usage information. • Create and maintain network and application-level documentation of F5 BIG-IP environment. • Track and evaluate F5 APM and security alerts. • Follow through with firm and vendor resources to close out availability, performance, and security incidents that involve Remote access VPN in any Deloitte location. • Coordinate, triage, and troubleshot activities with customers. • Accountable for executing tasks according to established standards, procedures, and processes. • Able to communicate and work with customers and peers in different time zone and countries. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. Must be able to easily analyze and communicate complex ideas to all levels of management.

Technical skills: · Bachelor’s Degree/College Diploma in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience and 7-10+ years of progressive Network Engineer experience required. · Certifications Requirements Include: F5 BIG IP Administration Certification – Required o CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Administrator) – Required o CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) – Preferred, not required o ITIL Foundation Certified - Preferred, not required · 2-4+ years of F5 BIG-IP including experience with both LTM (Local traffic manager) and APM (Access Policy Monitor) Modules. · 2+ years of Firewall Experience including Checkpoint, Palo Alto and Cisco remote access VPN technologies is a plus. · 2+ years of experience with F5 DNS. · Experience with F5 BIG IQ management platform a plus · Experience with LAN/WAN and network protocols. · Experience in monitoring tools and commands to ensure quick resolution to issues. · Knowledge of server technologies is a plus. · Knowledge of virtual technologies is a plus. · Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. Must be able to easily analyze and communicate complex ideas to all levels of management.
