About the role
Role- OpenShift Architect Duration- 12+ Months Location- Dallas, TX or Jersey City, NJ, or Atlanta, GA, or Charlotte, NC Requirements: 10+ years of software engineering experience with expertise in Java applications 3+ years of relevant OpenShift architecture experience OpenShift Kubernetes Java and Spring Boot Microservices Architecture Description: Key Responsibilities: Design and implement scalable, reliable, and secure architectures for Java applications on OpenShift. Develop architectural blueprints and detailed documentation to guide development teams. Ensure alignment with industry best practices and company standards. Lead the deployment, configuration, and management of OpenShift clusters. Optimize OpenShift environments for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency. Implement CI/CD pipelines using OpenShift tools and integrate with existing DevOps processes. Provide technical leadership in the development and deployment of Java applications. Collaborate with development teams to ensure code quality, performance, and security. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to Java applications. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, DevOps engineers, and product managers. Mentor and guide junior architects and developers. Participate in architectural reviews and provide constructive feedback. Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in cloud computing, OpenShift, and Java development. Propose and implement innovative solutions to improve application performance and developer productivity. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the overall architecture and development processes. Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience as an Architect in a Java applications environment. Expertise in OpenShift, including deployment, configuration, and management. Strong knowledge of Java, Spring Framework, and related technologies. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Preferred Qualifications: Certification in OpenShift or related cloud technologies. Experience with microservices architecture and containerization. Familiarity with other cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
