About the role
Job Description Position: Exadata Oracle Database Administrator Experience Level: 4-10 years Responsibilities: Exadata Migration Efforts: Lead and execute Exadata migration projects, ensuring smooth transition of databases to Exadata infrastructure. Collaborate with stakeholders to plan, test, and execute migration strategies. Active Data Guard (ADG) Configuration: Configure and maintain Active Data Guard for high availability and disaster recovery. Monitor ADG performance and troubleshoot issues as needed. Conduct switchover processes and failover procedures. Cluster Configuration and Maintenance: Set up and manage Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) for scalability and load balancing. Perform RAC multi-node administration tasks, including node addition/removal and load balancing. Ensure cluster stability and optimal performance. Oracle Linux Administration: Administer Oracle databases on Linux operating systems. Handle Linux-specific tasks related to database management. Implement security measures and best practices. Oracle Multitenant Database Administration: Manage Oracle Multitenant databases, including container databases (CDBs) and pluggable databases (PDBs). Create, maintain, and allocate resources for PDBs. Optimize performance and troubleshoot issues. Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Proven experience as an Oracle DBA, specifically with Exadata systems. Strong knowledge of Oracle database architecture, performance tuning, and backup/recovery. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Oracle certifications (e.g., OCP) preferred.
