Role:Oracle HCM Architect

Location: Chicago, IL (downtown) Duration: Permanent

Responsibilities

Design, document, and develop solutions for the Oracle HCM Cloud application, including reporting, data interfaces, and configuration of payroll flows per defined business requirements. Collaborate with business partners and IT Business Analysts to understand ongoing business needs and translate technical requirements into deliverables. This might include reviewing issues reported from end users, determining and reconciling discrepancies, solving for root cause of errors, and developing solutions to correct them. Recommend technical approaches and solutions to meet organization and business partner needs and solve business problems related to the Oracle HCM Cloud application. Lead or participate in requirements gathering sessions, to discuss technology capabilities and address any technical concerns, Produce prototypes to present to users, then analyze and resolve any potential design problems. Create ad-hoc data extract reports for analysis, inclusive of formatting and auditing critical business data. Assist in identifying and executing test plans, which may include creating, reviewing, executing, and tracking test plans and results.

Requirements & Previous Experience

Bachelor's degree required, with an emphasis in computer science or information systems preferred. OR 4+ years’ work experience with Oracle Cloud HCM. Experience developing and maintaining inbound/outbound integrations within Oracle Integration Cloud is a plus. Experience with HCM extracts, mass data updates/uploads, Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI) reporting tools, BI Publisher, SQL, and Fast Formulas. Specific experience with payroll, absence, time & labor, and compensation modules is strongly preferred! Strong understanding of software usability practices. Familiar with the software development lifecycle and standards. Proven strong work ethic, ability to make decisions, and adaptable to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment, without sacrificing quality of work product. Detail oriented and well-organized, with an exceptional ability to multi-task. Strong communication skills; able to speak and write in a clear and articulate manner to end users and senior management on a non-technical level, while dealing with other IT professionals on a technical level. Demonstrated ability to listen to customer needs and provide a solution. Strong problem solving and debugging skills. Team player that demonstrates flexibility and the ability to integrate and work well with others. Self-motivated to succeed, with capacity to assume increasing responsibility.
