About the role
Role: Performance Engineer
Duration: 1 year + extensions Location: Denver, CO (hybrid, 50% remote) Must Have : • JMeter • Splunk • Kubernetes
Job Description: The Performance Engineer has to ensure that applications met the required performance, scalability, reliability, fault tolerance, and sizing recommendations of the AWS instances. Furthermore, they have to Perform CPU sampling, memory profiling, memory leak analysis, thread dump analysis, latency analysis, SQL/Non-SQL query response time analysis to identify performance bottlenecks, and monitoring 4 9's availability of production traffic.
Experience and Expertise:
• 4+ Years of Experience in Performance Testing and Engineering.
Knowledge and Skills:
• Proficiency in performance testing strategies, test case design, and execution using JMeter. • Strong understanding of performance monitoring solutions and data analysis. • Expertise in identifying and addressing performance bottlenecks, thread concurrency, and memory issues. • Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. • Familiarity with APM tools (e.g., New Relic, AppDynamics, Data Dog). • Understanding of distributed systems architecture, microservices, web protocols (HTTP/HTTPS), and caching mechanisms. • Ability to balance performance enhancements with security considerations.
