PostgreSQL DBA

Position :PostgreSQL DBA Locations: Charlotte, NC - 3 days onsite Duration : 6 Months Contract

Must Have : They will work with one other DBA that knows some PostgreSQL They will help stand up PostgreSQL, develop reporting, monitor, and security modeling of the databases. They will need experience with PostgreSQL AND Mondgodb or Redis

Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Database Administrator proficient in MongoDB, Redis, and PostgreSQL to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, optimizing, and maintaining our databases to ensure high performance, reliability, and scalability. This role involves working closely with development teams to design and implement efficient database structures, troubleshoot performance issues, and ensure data security and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain database architectures. • Install, configure, and upgrade database software and related tools. • Monitor database performance and capacity, identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks and other issues. • Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability. • Optimize database queries and indexes for improved performance. • Collaborate with development teams to design efficient database schemas and data models. • Ensure data security and compliance with regulatory requirements. • Perform database migrations and upgrades as needed. • Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner. • Create and maintain documentation of database configurations, procedures, and policies. • Provide technical support and guidance to development and operations teams.
