Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our team. This dual-role position requires extensive experience with Power BI and DAX coding, as well as proficiency in Databricks and Python. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to translate technical data into compelling visual stories and collaborate effectively with business stakeholders. Will be supporting BAU work, ad hoc Power BI reporting, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain a union catalog in Databricks. Utilize Python for data analysis and engineering tasks. Write and manage ADF (Azure Data Factory) pipelines. While expertise in this area is highly desirable, willingness to learn is also acceptable. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and bring data stories to life. Build and maintain Databricks notebooks, ensuring seamless interaction between Databricks and Python. Pull data from various sources and integrate it into the Azure Data Lake. Present data findings and visualizations to business stakeholders on a daily basis.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Databricks and Python. Extensive experience with Power BI and DAX coding. Ability to translate DAX code into visual stories. Strong collaboration skills; ability to work closely with business stakeholders. Experience in retail or grocery industries is a plus. Power BI and Databricks certifications are a plus
