About the role
Role:Principal Data Engineer
Location:Remote Duration:6 MonthsContract to hire; Visa:USC,GC,GC-EAD,H4-EAD
Required Skills• 5+ years’ experience of Python, SQL, and Java • Google Cloud Platform or other cloud experience • 5+ years’ experience in data warehousing
Qualifications/years of experience
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; High School Diploma or GED equivalent required 8 years of extensive technical experience in variety of application development or package software implementations (i.e. building/maintaining data pipelines in cloud environments like Google Cloud Platform, Azure or AWS) Proven experience of ongoing education in regard to technology trends within software development and support Proven experience with multiple development and support methodologies (Agile, DevOps, Waterfall) Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship
Nice to have Tech: GCP Experience with composer (airflow), google data flow (apache beam), and operators inside of data flow that interact with Big Query Container technology (Docker) Kubernetes Understands overall data warehousing concepts but primarily has a developer background
