About the role
Client is BNY Mellon. 12 month contract to hire. Remote to start, then onsite in Woodland Park, NJ or New York City, NY. They need to have Python, Django, and Flask experience. Top Requirements: • Python – Problem solving within python, will be touching Pandas/Numpy potentially. Flask is a big plus, understanding multithreading • SQL/NoSQL – team will push over to a mixed database layer, • API – team is building micro services in the application layer. Flask, Django, SQL Alchemy, Nice to Have: • Kafka – Pyspark, ETL, if they have touched big data it’s a huge plus. Team is not looking for a true data engineer, they need to be in the application layer while touching big data tools as a nice to have. Cloud is not required and more future state
