About the role
Title: Python Developer Duration: 6+ months Location: NY/NJ
Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled and motivated Python Developer to join our development team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Python and be passionate about writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code. You will be responsible for developing server-side logic, integrating with databases, and working on a variety of projects from web applications to data processing tools.
Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Python applications. • Write reusable, testable, and efficient code. • Integrate user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic. • Develop RESTful APIs and work with third-party APIs. • Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, product managers, and other developers. • Debug and troubleshoot issues and perform root cause analysis. • Stay up-to-date with new technologies and best practices in Python development.
Required Skills and Qualifications: • Proven experience as a Python Developer (typically 2+ years for mid-level roles). • Strong knowledge of Python frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI. • Experience working with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB). • Familiarity with front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS is a plus. • Experience with version control tools like Git. • Understanding of containerization (e.g., Docker) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is an advantage. • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Agile/Scrum development methodologies. • Familiarity with testing frameworks such as PyTest or Unittest. • Knowledge of asynchronous programming and microservices architecture.
