About the role
ROLE:PYTHON DEVELOPER
LOCATION:OMAHA,NE (3 DAYS ONSITE) DURATION:12+ MONTHS
Summary: This is a hybrid office position in Omaha, Nebraska. Candidates will need to be local or willing to relocate and be onsite day one. We are in office minimum of 3 days a week. This is an individual contributor role, where you will be rewriting the current spatial data management layers from Java to Python. We need someone proficient in Python, not just someone with basic knowledge for this opportunity. This individual will need to reference the current Java code for conversion into Python. You will report to a Director located in Omaha, NE.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Python applications. Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including planning, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements and define technical solutions. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code. Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing Python applications. Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications. Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive innovation.
Qualifications
8+ years of experience with Python Must have: Python 3.x, java, git, ide like Pycharm or sphinx. Good to have: Docker, IOT, ETL tools Design, develop, test, and maintain python-based applications and systems. Very strong in core java / j2ee fundamentals. Ability to communicate with highly technical team members and cross functional teams 3+ years with Oracle database skills are essential. Knowledge on Agile development methodology
