About the role
Role: Python developer
Location: Remote Duration: Contract Project Scope: Team works on forecasting to support financials, budget and cashflow Short term project - through the end of the year. May spill over to 2024 if needed. Have a model - tens of thousands of lines of SAS code Getting rid of SAS, need to migrate into Python so they can get it into GCP which they will be using as a data warehouse (Big Query) Team Size & Breakdown: Senior analyst (Ryan - SAS guy) this person will be working closely with, may have another resource to help as well Open on time zones - "As long as they're not in Hawaii" High-Level Individual Duties: Advanced Python coding Most of the coding will be in Jupiter Notebooks, VS Code Close collaboration with Senior Analyst (SAS) on migration SAS EG - syntax Must-Haves (Concepts & Tools): Python expertise: Jupiter Notebooks, VS Code, Spyder High level understanding of SAS EG/Syntax Collaboration skills What will win: Previous SAS à Python Migration Big Query Logic and coding
