About the role
Role:Data Engineer
Location: Richmond, VA; Mclean, VA; or Plano, TX.
Duration: 6 month C2H or 2 year contract for nonconvertible resources
Project Details:
This team does a lot of work around many different types of data from various sources so they are looking for a data engineering with experience in big data to help on data engineering Experience in big data with Hadoop & Spark is critical They work on various different DBs so strong SQL and Python experience is required
Daily Responsibilities:
Write scripts to pull & merge data Work with data models Write queries & stored procedures Work with Spark and Scala
Required Qualifications:
5+years of experience overall 3+ years of coding experience with Spark and Scala 3+ years of experience developing software solutions to solve complex business problems Hands-on AWS experience SQL Experience working with Big data Preferred Qualifications:
Financial industry experience Java Python
