Python Software Engineer

Role- Python Software Engineer Duration- 12 Months Location- 225 Park Ave S, New York, NY 10003 or 1180 Discovery Wy, Sunnyvale, CA 94089 (5 days’ onsite required) Must Have’s Ability to work on-site 5 days’ a week at Meta New York City HQ’s (225 Park Ave S, New York, NY 10003) or Sunnyvale HQ’s (1180 Discovery Wy, Sunnyvale, CA 94089) – no exceptions. Strong Python coding; will be Python coding exercise with screen share on interview. Experience with “wearables” or other robotics is highly desired. Summary: The main responsibilities of a Python Engineer include writing and testing code, collecting data using those python programs and analyzing the data collected. Job Responsibilities: Write effective, scalable python code for test automation Collect device power/performance data and analyze power/performance data Develop back-end components to improve responsiveness and overall performance Review and approve modifications to existing software to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation. Improve functionality of existing systems Coordinate with internal teams to understand user requirements and provide technical solutions Additional Notes: Consultant will write Python, code for depository for hardware development and software developments for wearable products. Working on a novel product, python code will be directly testing bring product to affrication, EMG wrist type device, scripting test automation, robotics background would be nice Skills: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering or relevant field required and 5+ years of post-graduate experience in Data Engineering or Python Software Engineering. 3-5+ years of Python software engineering experience. 2+ years of SQL. Understanding of Machine Learning concepts including Python ML libraries such as NumPy, Scikit-learn, Pandas, TensorFlow or similar. Strong preferred to have experience with robotics, cell phone (hardware/software) or wearables. Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills. Strong ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
