About the role
Role: QA Automation Engineer Vendor/Client: Apex/State of VA Location: Richmond, VA (Day1 onsite position) Duration: 4 to 5 years Pay rate – $32/hr on W2 Interview – next week 1 and done! Responsibilities (including, but not limited to): • Experience in designing, developing, maintaining, and executing automated testing solutions using test automation tools & frameworks such as Micro Focus UFT, Selenium, etc. • 2+ years of experience working with the Agile methodology, DevOps, CI&CD and related testing and test automation techniques. • Experience testing applications across a range of technologies including web, mobile, batch processing, web services and messaging, mainframe, and reporting. • Experience developing automated web service tests using UFT One/ REST service API test, SOAP UI Pro or similar web services testing tools. • someone who can program VB scripting well without supervision if not develop the framework from scratch Just to be clear, this job requires them to do hard core programming, it's a completely new application. • Developing, implementing and maintaining test data and environments required for testing. • Strong experience writing complex SQL queries. • Strong experience using ALM or similar test lifecycle management tools. • Evaluate, propose and help implement improvements to automated testing strategies and toolsets that result in increased efficiency and reduced risk. • Understanding of testing metrics and experience using metrics to target process and efficiency improvements. • Experience working closely with developers, test engineers, and support staff for troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues. • Ability to install and manage automation tools like Selenium, UFT and ALM software • Ability to mentor, training, support, and backup for other QA team members as required. • Experience interacting with and presenting to managers and Sr. Leadership across multiple disciplines including QA, Development, Architecture and Business Partners. • Strong MS Office applications skills. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. -- Thanks & Regards, Naveen Sai - Technical Recruiter Thought wave Software and Solutions 314 N.
