QA Engineer

Build a testing plan that has metrics of expectations around volumes and boundaries like stress testing etc.. this person would interact with the infrastructure team and find out what’s needed. They will do high level smoke testing and performance testing. Create plans for stress testing. Infrastructure testing: stress/ fail-over/ load testing The resource will need to have good people and organizational skills. The position, in early phases, will actually require more test planning and test platform onboarding/orchestration/design than actual testing/automation. Note that Cloud plays little to no role in this position. It will focus upon Linux, Windows and AIX build/infrastructure testing. SKILLS • Above-average understanding of performance and resiliency testing • 1-2 years of performance testing experience (JMeter and LoadRunner) • Excellent ability to draft test cases and create test plans • Advanced understanding of Software Quality Assurance practices • Advanced understanding of automated Testing with Java or Python • Excellent knowledge of Shell • Excellent knowledge of Selenium (framework construction, framework, and test automation) • Excellent knowledge of Ansible • Excellent knowledge of the three-tier software design (web, application, and DB tiers) • Excellent knowledge of clustered/farmed infrastructure deployment designs • Solid understanding of AIX and Linux OS
