Hi, I’m Showkath Ali from Thought wave, I hope you are doing well, Regarding the below role, if you are interested please do send me your updated resume to smohammad@thoughtwavesoft.com or call me at 630-360-3567ASAP Role: QA Engineer Location: 100% Remote Duration: 12 Months Must Haves: black box testing, risk based testing, system testing, regression testing, exploratory testing practices What you’ll do: • Design, implement and maintain automation test framework and test suites used during test development (including source control, test management and release systems). • Design test automation for web services, APIs, and web based platforms. • Perform moderately complex functional, application, regression, and performance tests. • Drive a continuous improvement mentality to deliver robust performance testing strategies/methods and improve test scripts and product coverage. • Interact regularly with development leads to ensure that the automation test framework can interact with and support a continuous integration development environment. • Write automation design documents, operational guides and also assist in the development/implementation of Test Plans/Procedures as required to support automation activities. • Help identify new approaches to automation and identify new tools that can help automate manual tests. • Deliver high quality products on time while working in an Agile Scrum Team and following Agile methodologies. • Provide accountability for testing and quality assurance, and communicate status regularly and effectively with development Scrum Team and Business Partners. What you have: • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or a related field. • 3-5 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance and QA Automation. • Understanding of QA practices (black box testing, risk based testing, system testing, regression testing, exploratory testing practices). • Strong technical competency and experience in an OOP language such as C#.NET/Java. • Strong technical competency in test automation tools with preferable experience in Selenium/BDD framework/Coded UI. • Experience working in the Atlassian suite of tools (Jira, Zephyr, Confluence). • Working knowledge of Agile development process and methodologies is essential. • Experience working on an Agile Scrum Team as an engaged team player with excellent communication skills (oral and written). • Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment and to partner technically with Application Architects, Developers, QA/Testing organizations and Business teams. • Hands on experience with DevOps and Continuous Integration tools (Jenkins/Bamboo/GIT) is preferred. • Experience in Acceptance Test-Driven Development (ATDD) or Behavior Driven Development (BDD) using Gherkin languages like Cucumber is a plus. • Experience with Oracle and SQL query writing abilities is a plus. -- Thanks & regards, Showkath Ali | US IT Recruiter Thoughtwave Software and Solutions 314 N.
