QA Lead

Role: QA Lead Location: Chicago IL / Dallas, TX (Need only local candidates) Duration: 6 + Months RESPONSIBILITIES   · Oversee the design and implementation of validation procedures, test plans, and test cases. · Develop, write, and manage the execution of an overall software test strategy. · Lead efforts to enhance and make the testing process more efficient. · Meeting with the software/product designers to determine quality assurance parameters. · Leading the QA team in designing QA test procedures. · Software Testing Life Cycle principles and Quality Assurance methodologies and best practices · Create testing processes that can scale up or down based on product life cycle · Manage communications with product and project teams · First line of support during initial deployments; implement issue/bug escalation process QUALIFICATIONS · 10+ years’ experience in Quality Assurance and Product testing · Ability to build test strategies for SAAS and/or custom solutions · Leadership and team management skills · Subject matter expert with various testing methods (manual, automated, unit, integration, sanity, system, regression, acceptance testing) · Data Validation skills (e.g. SQL, excel, etc.) · Lead the definition, implementation and maintenance of QA and UAT processes, methodologies and templates for use on product deliverables · Proven ability to translate scope and business rules into test cases/scripts · Ability to not only identify bugs but conduct some level of troubleshooting as a starting point for engineering · Expert understanding of the Software Testing Lifecycle · Outstanding communication, presentation, and relationship building skills.
